WTCA offers The Load Guide, a free design tool for understanding,
defining and specifying typical design loads for structural building
components. The Load Guide, beta version 1.0 is an Excel file which
provides calculators, reference materials and interpretations for
determining loads based on IBC and ASCE 7. WTCA welcomes comments on how
to make this as valuable as possible to the engineering community. The
download is available at www.woodtruss.com/loads.php. The download
requires users to create a login record so they can be informed when an
updated version becomes available. Early problems with the login process
have been addressed.
