Program: Henry Huang of Los Angeles County will report on his observations
of the aftermath of the September 21, 1999 earthquake in Taiwan. The
magnitude 7.6 earthquake caused over 2200 deaths and more than 10,000
collapsed buildings. Henry is a member of the L.A. area volunteer team of
engineers who spent 10 days in Taiwan in early October to assist the Nan-Tou
County Government, the location of the epicenter, evaluating the condition
of buildings.

Additionally, Henry will update the progress of the SAC project on Steel
Moment Frame as the project is nearing completion of its funding.
